Abstract: (180 Views)
The study aims to examine the mediating role of mindfulness in the relationship between job boredom, job satisfaction, and turnover intention. The current research was descriptive-correlational. The statistical population consisted of all the female teachers working in the secondary education of one district of Shahre Rey in the academic year of 2022-2023, of which 303 were selected by volunteering sampling. Data were collected using the Job Satisfaction Scale (Smith et al., 1969), the Turnover Intention Questionnaire (Kim and Leung, 2007), the Job Boredom Scale (Lee, 1986), and the Five Facets Mindfulness Questionnaire (Baer & et.al., 2004). For data analysis, correlation coefficient tests and path analysis were conducted using AMOS and SPSS software. The results showed that the direct effects of job boredom on job satisfaction (β = -0.27, p < 0.01) and turnover intention (β = 0.42, p < 0.01) were significant. Also, the indirect effects of job boredom on job satisfaction (β=0.36, p<0.01) and turnover intention (β=0.12, p<0.01) through mindfulness were significant. The causal model of job satisfaction and turnover intention based on job boredom fits with the mediating role of mindfulness in female teachers at the secondary level.
